Coaching consists of intensive one-to-one sessions for individuals wishing to achieve specific goals in English.
These are often short-term goals, such as delivering a presentation to potential clients or investors. Perhaps you have a job interview coming up in English.
Using my experience and intuition I play the role of a sparring partner to train you in dealing with certain situations, for example convincing people with your arguments, expressing your opinion clearly, dealing with difficult questions or chairing a meeting. You will leave my coaching sessions feeling confident and prepared to face unexpected or unforeseen situations in English.
I will work with you to improve the content, rhetoric and structure of your presentation. In this way, professionals from other fields can also understand specialist content and are not confused by jargon or technical detail.
Coaching for actors and TV presenters
If you are preparing for a role or appearance in English, maybe your first, I will support you with your lines and role, practising pronunciation, stress, regional accents or accent minimisation.
I will read or play the role of your (interview) partner, bringing in spontaneous questions for you to answer. I have a range of exercises for practising fluency and enunciation to prepare you for the camera or stage with confidence and ease in your new language.
Online Coaching
Coaching via video conference has been particularly popular since March 2020 but is generally very practical if you are travelling or based elsewhere.
Online coaching is a great tool for practising communication in English and is just as effective as meeting in person. Holding coaching sessions live via platforms like Zoom or Teams is not only flexible but is also superb practice for online meetings or conferences calls you may be holding in English.
